The Communication University of China (CUC) is one of the first batch of universities included in the “the Double World Class Project of China” administered by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. Moreover, CUC is a key university of both the “211 Project” and the “985 Advanced Discipline Innovation Platform”. Founded in 1954, CUC was the first media university founded by the Communist Party of China (CPC) after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. In August of 2004, the university changed its name from “Beijing Broadcasting Institute” to “Communication University of China”. Over the past 69 years, CUC has adhered to the motto of “integrity, professionalism, erudition and competence”, inherited the cultural tradition of loyalty, self-confidence, tolerance, and competence, and cultivated media professionals who “carry forward the light of virtue and apply knowledge to serve the country. CUC students have always met future media challenges with gusto, playing an outstanding role on the international stage, and the university itself has made valuable contributions to the media affairs and socioeconomic development of the CPC and the country. For this reason, CUC is honored as “the cradle of China’s radio and television talents” and “a prestigious university in the field of information communication”.
